Vedas are above thinking mind

 X writes/speaks finding of his/her research

This knowledge is transmitted using his/her words

These words are perceived by Y based on his/her own understanding

This understanding is bound to approximation of X's understanding by providing methodologies used to arrive at conclusions

Yet Y understand based on his/her own words or express so in his/her own words

Vedas are collection of Mantras

These mantras are recited at times given by Jyotish, written and preserved using Vyakaran, recited using sounds of Sikshya, methods are decided by Kalpa and the difficult phrases are decided using Nirukta. There is no place to rearrange words or use other methods or other sounds or other time.

There is no alteration allowed, no experiments allowed, etc. That is there is no way to understand it using others' words or how they understand and following which we can understand. These mantras are to be found after recitation and be guiding mind after they starts to evolve into understanding of the reciter.

Hence, Vedas are above mind. It can't be thought of or altered. No experiment is possible, no methodology can be prescribed other than recitation.

these arguments are incomplete........

Hindu Jurisprudence- Smriti And some property law

I just don’t have the energy to write against the popular teaching (perhaps I have read the wrong books) that Hindu jurisprudence is contained within the Smriti, mainly the Manusmriti, and the property systems of the two schools — Mitakshara and Dayabhaga (I forget which region each school belongs to). But these are laws, not jurisprudence. I admit I do not know the subject of jurisprudence deeply — such a tragedy — but it seems to me these were laws made for the time and place according to the wisdom of the sages of that era. The Smriti writers themselves clearly said that the source of their understanding is the Veda. So, anyone who wants to understand exactly what truth Hindus hold must study the Vedas. Those who cannot may go through the Upanishads (major texts distilled by sages to teach the essence of the Jñāna part of the Veda). Those who still find that difficult may turn to the Mahabharata (which is in itself a “great battle” to understand), or they may study Mīmāṁsā, Nyāya-śā...
