High time to harm image of Public Accountants

At times like these where economy is struggling to function properly, many try to destroy image or public perception of professions like public accountants to match their motives:

1. Lack of businesses also hamper public accountants and thus private sector delude them with low pay and low key status in an organization.

2. Low pay to public accountants means economy of the country is not in the right track and also the governance is already hitting the lowest possible state.

3. Attempt to overthrow special status of public accountants will be tried to overthrown as they are the only player who ensure fairness of financial reports. Those who want to manipulate numbers, of course they are in search of good opportunity to write off public accountants from the game itself.

4. Public accountants are always part of government or kind of semi-government agents especially those who are in practice. They are the judge of financial statement for government's laws whether for revenue collection purpose or security market operation purpose.
