Should our existence be conditioned?

I use to listen from my grandmother how a boy should react to insult. How should one convert the negative energy for making it positive. But I always saw inadequacy in this technique. Showing a person who hurt us with counter hurting is basically giving credit to our success to that same person and with violence too. It is the negative condition for our existence and what we want to do with our life. On the positive side, some say I live for my parents, wife, children etc. But what if there happens an event to affect them badly. Can they be source of our liability or source of our guilt? Are not we making them victim of our inability to cope with ourselves even after death. Then, what is the condition that we should adhere to so that we can live with peace?  First of all life is not conditioned but death is conditioned. A mistake can cause death and end this life's experience. All those conditioned must be avoided at minimum to live with peace. Life seeks continuity and rest ...

Agni - the origin of utility and economy

Agni - the origin of utility and economy §1. Agni is desire that is within every being and hence prevailing at least over earth where beings are possible.  §2. Sages shaped this fire within them, i.e. they not only controlled desire but also shaped that in the right direction. Without desire not only economy, but all activities whether mechanical without pre-thought or actions of beings or actions of human out of full consciousness, will not be possible. §3. Rig Vedic applaud of Agni that only after having converted forest Agni to home Agni, civilization began. Fools thought that they saw fire in forest and then established that fire in homes. It is the lowest interpretation possible but those who can not control desire can never be civilized. That is the meaning of those great words of Vedic sages. §4. By desire, utility is shaped and by utility economy is established. Though Kantian and Utilitarian denied anything that is within or without which need to be explained wit...

Learning R

Excel has always been not so interesting tool for me to perform anything. Since, I have prior experience of programming, though 10 years later I am trying data analysis with R which also gives programming facility, it is both curious and nostalgic feeling. I still remember that day when I learned programming in C in one night. I almost always had a habit of ignoring my lecturers, I was in serious trouble of giving practical exam of C. But the book was so nicely written, by executing codes and learning theory at the same time I scored 19/20 in internal theory exam and 70/80 later in final theory exam and 30/30 in internal practical and 16/20 in final practical exam. Later on C++ I scored 9/10 and 38/40 in theory exam and 28/30 and 18/20 in practical exam. Programming had always been my cup of tea and I enjoyed it as I can develop a system and see the output instantly. I can modify it till I satisfy myself regarding the output. Later on while doing project on C, my respected teacher...

Risk and Assets

§1. Value of any assets is determined by discounting using appropriate rate which represents the expected rate of return. §2. Expected rate of return is risk adjusted   §3. U sing CAPM model t hough front is Sensitivity  of specific return to market return, sensitivity is w.r.t standard deviation. Proportionate  change in risk of specific asset w.r.t. market risk.  §4. However, can we just say that total risk calculated by the market assess every bit of information about all constituent risk of total risk? For eg. what about HR policy of the company and its implementation? Human Resources can be very volatile, but will/can stock market evaluate HR policy and its implementation?  §5. We can say broadly that internal risk of any company ( for publicly traded assets ) can not be taken into consideration by the market. Yet, these risks very much affect the actual value of the asset.  §6. Strategic as well as operational, reporting and compliance ris...

Property Law and Income Taxation

Income Tax Taxpayer (TP) and Income to tax 1. Person to tax 2. That person's ownership over the property used to earn (labor and windfall gain??) 3. Difference in ownership over such properties at the year end and the year beginning (incremental ownership) 4. Assign the value over such properties owned  Realization of incremental ownership over property : 1. By sale and disposal of inventories 2. Disposal of Non-Business chargeable assets (NBCA)/ Business Assets (BA)/ Business Liabilities (BL) 3. Pool disposal of Depreciable assets Interaction of complex property law and income taxation: - only those rights which entails economic benefits  - complexity arises when those economic benefits are separable like in case of lease, taxpayer transfer only the right to use such properties     -TP's initial ownership and final ownership is same (in case of operating lease) with different values of the leased assets     - but the rent income grant ownership over ...

Indra the Source of Morality

I was amazed by knowing that respected and worshiped Kul devata "Masto dev"of Khas people as having connection to the lord of Gods Indra devata. This relation is disputed as some establish him as son of Indra who is also the protector of Vedas and some establish that he is Anuj/brother of the Indra dev namely Vishnu, the youngest among devatas. Fact that in Sinja they call him by lama Vishnu seem to establish as vishnu but establishing relationship with 9 respected and worshiped Vawanis may be difficult. Whatever may be the relation, like in every major tradition, either of Upanishadic tradition of debate or Hearing words of God tradition of Khasas or Persian tradition of Ahur Majda or Zeus of Greeks or the Father of Jesus everybody has one that requires laws/dharma to be followed.  These laws/dharma are not man made dharma, they are what is suitable for mankind and their continuity. Excepting to some outdated tradition, modern morality seems to be written in lesser quantity...

Immortality

Om. So says the Ishopanishad in her glory Darkness is path for believer of non-birth Greater darkness for believer of birth alone Let us see both as one and one alone We know from ourselves we are born From others we will know they died Pundits prescribed the same fate for us For wise learn from mistakes of others By great flood everything get destroyed Manu alone survived with remaining seeds Anything we have now are children of them For seed protects itself by producing more seeds New seed giver may think it is new one But seed's essence alone transform itself into new Can we say this one new or is it old one In new time it is new but in reality old one That old one that from which all seeds came Wise call it by the name of para-Brahama  Whose system is neither that of birth Nor it actually follow the path of non-birth These wheels of Sun is moving like this In the same wheel parmatma is moving By hiding itself in seed, making new seed Making neither birth nor non- birth possible...
